The Power of Two !

I am an internet marketer, albeit with “L” plates on. You
see, as far as computer skills and IT generally is
concerned, I am a dunce. On the other hand, I am a very
determined chap, and when I set my mind to do something, I
usually achieve my aim. To this end, beginning May 2008, I
attended many seminars, and at considerable cost. The last
12 months of my life has been one of learning many
different business skills. It has made me poorer in terms
of money but smarter in terms of personal nous.

Some of the subjects I learned about included buying and
selling real estate, the stock market, futures, e-minis,
commodity trading, and internet marketing. It was a great
experience; I am pleased I did this. Now where from here?
Desperate times need desperate action, my ready money
dwindled to a trickle, I did not want a physical job (at 73
I thought I had done enough),and I did not want to go to
work each day. That certainly thinned the field down.

Lack of spare capital put a line through shares, e-minis,
real estate, everything except internet marketing. But
here’s the problem, the IT bit was keeping me awake at
night, and I was wasting too much time figuring out this
part of the business at the expense of doing things that
were going to produce income. It is amazing how you react
when you have your back to the wall. To succeed in any
business, you must stay focused and positive, but to be
honest, I was starting to lose my grip, and only a few
weeks after getting started. I’ve always made a good job of
what I undertook, I did not fancy joining the failure queue
at 73. Where there’s a will there’s a way!

After another restless night I took the bull by the horns
and rang a friend of mine who lives 1,000 kms from my home.
I knew of his IT abilities, having done quite a few
computer jobs for me previously. To cut a long story
short, we agreed to share the costs associated with me
joining this internet marketing group, and the incidentals
that go with it, we share the work load, the fun (yes it
has proved a enjoyable involvement) and we share the
income. Quite simple really, but there’s more to my story
because of this solution to what was looking like an
insurmountable problem.

I want to build my business quickly, partly to make up for
lost time, and secondly to hold my end up in fairness to my
business partner. This may sound unbelievable, but it
actually happened. I do not like hype, I like people to be
given the opportunity to study whatever I present them
with, this way ensures they make up their own minds, it
works better that way. Over the period of a few days, I
approached 9 friends who I knew could do with extra money
to subsidise their part time incomes.

I invited them all to have a look at my website and to let
me know if or not they were interested in joining this
organisation. They all responded, which I appreciated, but
all nine of them were hesitant because they felt they were
not smart enough to take on running a business of their
own. They all had a workers mindset, make the boss rich
and earn a meagre income, then get a gold watch at 65.

Can you guess what happened? One I could not convince to
try it out, and if not happy or successful, rely on the 60
day money back guarantee. Still no good, I know when I am
beaten. The other 8 are now into this business and doing
nicely, they formed 4 pairs with one strong on IT and the
other doing the marketing bit.

Taking this further, it is not hard to imagine that there’s
hundreds of thousands of people, who, with the power of
two, could start their own business, from home, only a few
hours a day, and earning more than they presently are. Two
heads are certainly better than one, two halves do make a
whole, simple as the ABC, only it took me 73 years to learn
it!
