Are You Going to Be Successful?

When I work with my high level business coaching clients, I
use many tools and strategies to help identify how long it
will for my client to be successful in their business. The
definition of success we use is profitability plus business
systems plus satisfaction.

It’s crucial that all of these elements be in place-
profitability, systems, and satisfaction. Of course, you
can build a business missing any one or two of these, but
the business foundation will never be as strong as it could
be if all three of these elements were in place.

Let’s say, for instance, you have a business that isn’t
profitable. You’re not likely to be that satisfied with it,
right. If you have a business that you enjoy, but your
systems aren’t up to par, you won’t enjoy building it for
long.

While I have several methods for predicting business
success or failure, there is one quality that almost
predicts business success 100% of the time. How much
business momentum you have going for you is directly
related to how close you are to the action.

“Lucky breaks”or “golden opportunities” come to those who
are closest to the source of the action in their chosen
industry or field. These are the people who build their
businesses quickly and easily.

When you connect and partner with other people who make
things happen and are rapid action takers, some of this
can’t help but extend to your and your business. You gain
access to greater insight and relevant information, as well
as making alliances and contacts to help propel your
business further and faster.

One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is trying to
go it alone. They try to learn everything, know everything,
and do everything- which, as you probably have realized
means that very little actually gets accomplished each day.
Contrast this to an entrepreneur who allies with five other
entrepreneurs, and they trade ideas, resources, and
suggestions designed to help all of them.

Who will go further faster? So take a look at yourself and
your business. How close are you to the action in your
profession or field? If you’re not that close, you need to
get closer. When you surround yourself with people who are
making things happen, you will naturally play a bigger game
yourself- leading to greater profitability, more
opportunities, and a business that seems to grow like magic.
